Getting started
What is SlotVail?
SlotVail is an experience platform where live auctions meet charity. Hosts list special time or rights as slots; participants bid for them. If the host enables charity, they publicly pledge to donate part or all of proceeds themselves. The Platform does not auto-transfer funds to charities.
Does it cost money to use?
Signing up and browsing are free. When you bid or join a raffle, we hold your card limit only—nothing is charged then (this stops prank bids). If you win, that hold is captured immediately and held in Stripe escrow; the host is paid 90% of the win after on-site mutual QR check-in (winner and host each scan the other; card processing fees are borne by the Platform). Coin-based live chat is also charged. If charity is enabled, payout still goes to the host, who donates on their own.
How do I create an account?
SlotVail is one account per person. Register or log in from the header avatar or the links below.
Sign up as a participant first. To bid, complete identity verification (Stripe Identity) and add a payment method after sign-up.
To host, add the host role on the same ID. Host sign-up alone does not unlock streaming. Go Live stays locked until identity verification and payout setup (Connect) are finished on the dashboard.

Auctions
How do auctions work?
Hosts choose a format:
  • Single Premium: one exclusive seat.
  • Tiered VIP: multiple VIP tiers plus general seats.
  • Premium Raffle: automatic draw among participants.
  • Free Charity: free to join, 0% platform fee. Hosts must meet eligibility conditions to use it.
  • Second-Chance Raffle: non-winners may be redrawn; each pays their own bid.
How do I bid?
Enter an amount on the live page or auction detail and confirm. KYC and a payment method are required. A bid places a card hold only—nothing is captured. That hold exists to stop prank bids. Bidding means you accept the auction rules.
What happens after I win?
The card hold was already placed when you bid (or entered a raffle / buy-now). At win, that hold is captured immediately and kept in Stripe escrow. The host is not paid yet. The check-in QR appears on your phone from 2 hours before the experience (offline TOTP; screenshots expire). A few minutes before that window through the day, we email you and ping the header bell so you can open My Page once on good Wi-Fi. After on-site mutual QR check-in (winner and host each scan the other), the host is paid 90% of the win (card processing fees are borne by the Platform). If the host enabled charity, they donate according to their public ratio—so a win can still contribute to a social cause. The Platform does not auto-transfer funds to charities.
When can the experience date be?
The host sets the experience date at listing. Any day on or after auction end is allowed—including two months or a year later—to match the real event. Win amounts stay in escrow until that day. The date is fixed at listing and cannot be changed after a win.
Can I cancel or get a refund after winning?
Participant-initiated cancel/refund is generally not available. The date cannot be changed. If you cannot attend, list a Resale from your won-auction history: minimum = original win amount; must end by 7 days before the experience. On success, your original authorization is fully released and the 10% fee applies only on the new winner’s side. No sale means no refund. If the host cannot deliver, host emergency cancel provides a full refund.
What is Resale?
A secondary listing when a winner cannot attend. Prior bidders are notified first. On success, the seat transfers to the new winner and the original winner gets a full release/refund of their original authorization only (no upside if it sells higher — resale profit is not allowed). The 10% platform fee applies on the new winner’s transaction. Browse the Resale list.
Coins & chat
What are coins?
Coins power live chat when a host enables Pay-per-Comment (1 coin per comment). Buy them via “+ Add coins” in the header.
How do I buy coins?
Open the coin balance or “+ Add coins” to go to the purchase page. Coins appear in your balance immediately.
Buy coins
Are coins refundable?
Purchased coins and spent comments are never refundable. Abuse may lead to account freeze and voided balance.
Where does chat coin spend go?
Spent coins are totaled for that host for the calendar month (JST) and paid out after month-end via Stripe Connect as 90% of the converted yen (card processing fees are borne by the Platform). This is a separate transfer from auction QR payouts. To cover Stripe bank-payout fees, auto-payout runs only when closed coin payouts plus auction payouts in the same window total at least ¥5,000; smaller amounts carry forward. If the host enabled charity, they donate according to their public ratio—so your comments can still contribute to a social cause. The Platform does not auto-transfer funds to charities.
KYC & security
Why is KYC required?
Hosts and participants must complete KYC with the Platform and Stripe to prevent fraud and keep trading fair.
What documents do I need?
Typically a passport or driver’s license and address verification. Documents are used only for identity checks and handled securely.
How do I host an auction?
SlotVail is one account per person. Register as a participant first, then add the host role to the same ID. Host sign-up alone does not unlock streaming. Until you finish identity verification (Stripe Identity) and payout setup (Connect) on the dashboard, Go Live and hosting stay locked.

Charity
How do donations work?
Only if the host enables charity when listing and sets a donation ratio (10%–100%). The live page then shows a pledge to donate part or all of proceeds. After fees, payout goes to the host; the host donates themselves. There is no charity picker and no automatic split to organizations.
Can I choose the charity?
No. Neither hosts nor participants pick a destination on the Platform. Only the donation ratio is published; the host makes the actual donation.

Do FX rates change what I pay?
Displayed foreign-currency amounts may differ slightly from the settled amount. The Platform is not responsible for those small variances.
